What are spindown dice? Also known as MTG spindown dice, spindown life counters, or countdown dice, a spindown D20 features its numbers in descending order.  A standard D20 will feature its numbers with its reverse counter number, but with adjacent numbers that are not sequential. On a spindown, the number '1' will be surrounded by the numbers 2, 3, 4, and so on as the numbers wrap around the die to 20.
